Bike to School Day

Students ride 115 miles on the morning of Wednesday, May 14, in the second annual Eco Club-sponsored Bike to School Day in recognition of National Bike Month. Over 10% of the student body registered their mileage with the Club with a few others biking as well. The ninth grade class had the highest percentage biking with 20%. All registered bikers received a coupon from Lincoln Avenue Cycling and Fitness. Additional prizes were awarded to the following individuals:

  • Isaac Schertz for carrying the heaviest load (two bags and a violin)
  • Cory Bowman (grade 9), Crystal Hackler (grade 10), Caleb Morris (grade 7), and Jordan Shetler (senior) for riding 8-10 miles one way.
