Cindy Hawkins ('82) six-time volunteer

Cindy and Alli Hawkins: photo by Annette Brill BergstresserFor six of the last eight Mennonite Church USA national conventions, Cindy (Bontrager '82) Hawkins has served as a volunteer coordinator for recreation, most recently for the July 2011 convention in Pittsburgh. Cindy, who has assisted with Bethany's volleyball program off and on since 1985--currently as a varsity assistant along with her daughter Alli ('07)--has a passion for youth, recreation and organization. She says, "I am energized by teenagers, the excitement they bring to life, and the potential they have to change the world."
