High Pass Rate for Bethany Students

Indiana Department of Education's release of 2009-10 End-of-Course Assessment scores show Bethany students with a high pass rate in Algebra I and English 10. Beginning with the class of 2012, students must pass both of these tests to qualify for graduation.

Algebra 1: 90% of Bethany's first-time test takers passed this test last year, compared to only 61% statewide. Bethany students' average score was 647, which was 64 points higher than the minimum passing score of 583. In addition, 95% of retake testers passed (19 out of 20).

English 10: 79% of Bethany's first-time test takers passed this test last year, compared to ony 62% statewide. Bethany student's average score was 461, which was 70 points higher than the minimum passing score of 391. This was the first time this test was implemented so there were no retake testers.
