National Merit Scholar
Taylor Ann Krahn selected as finalist
Bethany senior Taylor Ann Krahn has been selected by the National Merit Corporation as a scholarship finalist. Last fall she was one of six students from an Elkhart County school to be selected as a finalist for the class of 2011--only 1% of students nationally receive this recognition. She is the fourth Bethany student to earn this prestigious recognition in the past three years!
Taylor Ann is the daughter of Brian and Stacy (Haines '82) Krahn of Mishawaka. Homeschooled through grade 8, Taylor has flourished academically at Bethany and holds a 4.0 gpa. She plans to major in English at Hope College, Holland, Mich.
At Bethany Taylor Ann is a violinist and concertmistress in the orchestra and a member of the concert choir. She has played in five Bethany theater productions and is a cast member in Bethany's upcoming stage production of I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Feb. 24, 26, and 27). She is an active member in her youth group at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and volunteers at Maple City Health Care Center and Interfaith Hospitality Network.
