Community Chili Supper and Giving Tree
Saturday, Dec. 12 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. is a community chili supper in Bethany's cafeteria. The meal is by donation ($5 per person suggested) with proceeds to be shared by Bethany and Faith Mission in Elkhart (see also Giving Tree below). Menu includes chili, breadsticks, veggies, and homemade cookies.
In addition to attending the supper, both the girls and boys basketball have home games to which alumni are invited to attend free of charge. Alumni will receive a free concession item and be eligible for prizes. The girls host Canterbury at 1:00 (JV followed by varsity) and the boys host Lakeland at 6:00 (JV followed by varsity).
Giving Tree: Bethany is also partnering with PULSE radio's Giving Tree program to help provide Christmas gifts for people at Faith Mission in Elkhart. From 6 to 8 p.m. at the boys basketball game, people are invited to take a name of someone from Faith Mission off the giving tree and buy a present for that person. PULSE representatives were impressed with, and thankful for, the generosity of the Bethany community last year.
