Students earn school-record 49 gold medals

Bethany students earned a school record 49 gold medals and 4 silvers at the Feb. 5 district instrumental contest!

Senior Taylor Ann Krahn received a perfect score and qualifies to advance to state. Others qualifying for state are soloists Sara Erb, Sadie Gustafson-Zook, Lauren Hooley, and Adam Krahn and the string ensemble of Cory Bowman, Sadie Gustafson-Zook, Katie Hurst, Adam Krahn, Taylor Ann Krahn, Eva Lapp, Chris Markham, and Mandy Schlabach.

Others earning gold ratings for solos were Paul Krabill, Simon Hurst, Aman Patel, Nathanael Eby, Lena Yeakey, Mags Dutchersmith, Danielle Yoder, Hannah Yeakey, and Megan Duckworth. Earning silver medals were soloists Eva Lapp, Austin Hooley, Isabel Rondo, and Jesse Amstutz.

Ensemble gold ratings included the middle string ensemble, the high school flute quartet, the Amstutz sax trio, the Bhagat woodwind quartet, the Snyder brass quartet, and the Hooley trumpet trio.
