District Choir Contest

Concert Choir Perfect

Bethany's concert choir received perfect scores from three of four judges at the Apr. 22 district contest. They also received a "with distinction" award from ISSMA for their District contest score this year. This is the third time this has happened since Bethany choirs began participating in contest in 1997.

One of the perfect scores came from the sight-reading judge, who told conductor J.D. Smucker that Bethany always has the best sight-reading group! In fact Bethany concert choir has received a gold-rating in sight reading every year but one since 1997.

The other two perfect scores came in performance, which, according to one contest official, were the only perfect scores in performance by any school this year! Bethany's concert choir has received a first-place rating in performance every year since 1997. In total, Bethany has received 20 gold medal ratings.
