Soccer District/Conference Awards


Ramer first team all-district

For the second consectuvite year two Bruin boys soccer players were named to the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association (ISCA) all-district team: senior Jesse Ramer was named to the first team and junior Aaron Stiffney to the second team. Bruin coach Hank Willems was selected as district 2 private school coach of the year for the second consecutive year and third time in four years.

Ramer was the second highest vote getter in the district and as a first-team honoree will participate in the Nov. 21-22 college showcase in Indianapolis and be considered for all-state honors. Last year he was named to the second team all district .

Ramer was also named player-of-the-year in the Northern Indiana Soccer Conference. This is the third year that he has been named to the all-conference team. He is fourth in career assists at Bethany with 37 and was a starter as a frosh on Bethany's 2006 sectional champion team.

Also named to the all-conference first team were senior J.D. Nafziger, junior Aaron Stiffney, and sophomore Femi Hollinger-Janzen. Named to the second team were senior Seth Kauffman and junior Ben Bontreger. Earning all-state academic honors were Ramer and Bontreger.

In girls soccer senior Karli Graybill and junior Sharisse Yoder were named to the all-conference first team for the second consecutive year. Senior Kelly Snyder was named to the second team for the second consecutive year and sophomore Emma Caskey to the second team for the first time.
