End of Season Report

Softball defeated Elkhart Christian 12-2 in a semifinal game but lost to Lakewood Park 14-1 in the championship.

Baseball lost 9-3 to Elkhart Christian in the first round of the Hamilton sectional. However the team finished strong, winning 9 of its last 14 regular season games, finishing with a 9-13 record overall.

The varsity girls tennis team defeated Jimtown 5-0 in the first round of sectionals at Goshen. In the Saturday morning semifinal, the Bruins defeated NorthWood in 3-2, but lost to Fairfield 4-1 in the afternoon championship. The team finishes with a 15-3 record (2 of the 3 losses to Fairfield).

Girls Track report: Emma Gerig took 10th out of 21 runners; Gina Gautsche finished 11th, .03 seconds behind. Gina also placed 11th out of 22 in the 100m high hurdles. Emma finished 8th in the 200m finals. Maddie Gerig improved her season best time in the 1600m by more than 10 seconds and the the 4x100m team of Ellie Schertz, Gina Gautsche, Marissa (where are my spikes) Weldy, and Emma Gerig finished second in their race heat. Congratulations to the girls track team on a fantanstic season and finishing with a record of 4-4.

Boys Track report: Austin Mumaw ran the mile in under five-minutes (4:59) for the first time in his running career. Congratulations also to Ryan Snyder, Ben Hochstetler, and Josh Stoltzfus for posting personal bests as well.
