Winter Athletic Awards
Seth Kauffman set multiple records
Boys Basketball: The varsity finished with a 14-8 record that included ten straight wins before losing in the final seconds to Blackhawk Christian in the sectional semifinal (Blackhawk advanced to the championship of regionals before losing to No. 1 Bowman Academy). The team won its holiday tourney for the second consecutive year. The team defense excelled, posting two of the top 10 defensive scores in school history. Led by senior standout Seth Kauffman, the team also ranked third in blocked shots and two-point field goal percentage. Seth ranks in the top 10 in many game, season, and career categories, including first in blocked shots (100), free throws made (214), two-point field goals (436), and two-point field goal percentage (63.4%) He also ranks second in career scoring with 1104 points. Girls Basketball: The varsity finished with a 6-17 record, winning its first two games in sectional play before losing to eventual state champion FW Canterbury in the sectional finals. The team won its holiday tourney for the second consecutive year. The team will return all five starters and graduates only one senior.
