Back to School
Greetings from Bethany!
We, at Bethany Christian Schools, are excited about the year ahead. The following information will assist you in preparing for the coming school year. Please be in touch as needed. Continue to rest, be safe, and healthy over summer break. See you on Wednesday, August 12, between 7:45 and 8:30am.
New Family Reception
Families new to Bethany are encouraged to attend the New Family Reception on August 10 from 5:30-6:15. New families will have an opportunity to meet faculty/staff who will answer questions and explain procedures unique to our school. We hope this evening will help make the transition to Bethany a positive experience.
Back to School Night
The entire Bethany community will gather for Back to School Night on Monday, August 10 from 6:30-7:30pm. Students in grades K-12 are encouraged to bring school supplies. You will have an opportunity to meet faculty and staff, visit classrooms and reconnect with friends.
Lower School times and adjustments
The start time for grades K–5 will remain unchanged: 8:30am on Tuesday through Friday and 8:45am on Monday. For safety purposes, one change will be implemented during drop off and pick up. All lower school students need to get in and out of vehicles on the passenger (right) side.
Upper School times and adjustments
The start time for grades 6-12 will remain unchanged: 8:20am on Tuesday through Friday and 8:45am on Monday. For safety purposes, the pick-up line will look different. As in the Lower School, each parent/guardian will receive two placards displaying their student(s)' name(s). Please place a placard on the passenger-side dashboard when entering the pickup line. Beginning shortly after 3:30pm, students will be called to vehicles in the order cars are lined up. If your child does not arrive at your vehicle within one minute, you will be asked to pull forward and rejoin the end of the line. Please discuss the importance of being ready for pickup with your child ahead of time. For safety reasons, students may only enter vehicles that are stopped along the high school gym sidewalk and will not be permitted to walk across the parking lot to a vehicle. Thank you for your cooperation as we implement this safety procedure.
Report Cards for Grades 6–12
Starting in the 2026–2027 school year, report cards for students in grades 6–12 will be available electronically only.

Families will access and print report cards through PowerSchool.

Our main office staff will be happy to assist you if you need help accessing or printing report cards.
Schedules
Schedules for high school students will be emailed to their Bethany email addresses. If you have questions or want to make changes, contact school counselor Krysten Parson (KP) klparson@bethanycs.net or call the office for an appointment. Middle School students will receive their schedules on the first day of classes.
Wireless Policy
Last year we spent considerable time reflecting on and revising our cell phone policy to better support a focused and respectful learning environment. We recognize that this change required adjustment for everyone—students, families, and faculty/staff and we thank you for your efforts.
We kindly ask that you take time to read through the phone policy and partner with us once again in helping your child understand and follow these expectations. Your support is vital as we work together to create a school culture that prioritizes connection, learning, and well-being.
A note from our cafeteria
Our cafeteria provides amazing food each day. Students may income-qualify for free or reduced lunch with additional benefits including curricular material fee waiver and SAT test/AP exam fee reduction. Families whose students are direct-certified for these benefits through Medicare/SNAP will be notified by Kevin Miller in mid-to late July. Students not direct-certified may have a parent apply for these benefits by completing the front and back of the 2026-27 Household Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals form. Benefits cannot be backdated, so we encourage applications to be turned in prior to the start of school.
