At the state debate tournament on Saturday, Jan. 26, Bethany placed 7th out of 30 schools—the highest in school history.

The World Schools Debate team of Rachel Leininger, Alex Cartwright, Philip Krabill, and Christian Yoder made it to the semifinal round, placing them in the top four in the state.

In congregational debate Alistair Tollar advanced to the final round (placing 8th) and Aaron Yeakey to the semifinal round. Aaron also earned his fourth National Forensic League degree, Distinction, for his efforts on the day.

Earlier Reesha Bhagat (Lincoln-Douglas debate) and Alistair Tollar (Congregational debate) qualified to advance to nationals. See District Debate.
