stay/get in shape for free! You've probably seen the news that a growing number of teenagers are overweight. In an effort to address this challenge Bethany's high school PE teacher Krysten Parson and Goshen High School's pilate instructor/English teacher Ashley Ulrich are offering a summer camp for current Bethany students who want to get in shape this summer. The camp will meet 9-11 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during the weeks of June 9 and 16 and will feature wellness activities as well as information on healthy eating. Students will then have the next four weeks to implement what they have learned. They will meet again during the week of July 21 to discuss their progress. Download and print a registration form (or pick one up in the school office). There is no fee for the camp.
“Bethany fully prepared me for the rigorous course load in college so that I was not only the 1% of freshmen who could solve a difficult Calculus problem, determine a polyatomic ion, or write a 10 page research paper in 2 weeks, but could manage my time to also play sports, serve as editor of the yearbook, and be a friend to my peers.”
