Depositing lunch money

There is a locked deposit box near the office and one by the cafeteria for students to deposit lunch money envelopes marked with their names. Money deposited in these boxes after 9am will be credited to your students account the following school day. No checks or cash will be processed in the cafeteria or Ala Carte lunch line. Students must have funds available in their lunch account to purchase Ala Carte and extra entrées.

Ala Carte

Ala Carte items are offered in a separate line starting in grade 6 and continuing through the high school lunch period. These items are extra and will only be sold to students who have money in his/her account. These snack items comply with USDA “Smart Snack” requirements and are all labeled with allergen and calorie information. These items will not be offered in our lower school (Grades K-5).

Charging Policy

Students will be served one daily meal but only students with a sufficient cafeteria account balance will be able to buy Ala Carte or extra entrees.

Offer Versus Serve (OvS)

Offer Versus Serve (OvS, english version, versión española) is a meal service method designed to reduce food waste and food costs in the National School Lunch Program without jeopardizing the nutritional integrity of the meals served.

At lunch, schools must offer all five components (fruit, vegetables, grains, meat/meat alternates, fluid milk) and students must select at least three components, one of which is 1/2 cup of fruit and/or vegetable.
