2012-13 Forensics Summary

2012-13 Speech Team

Highlights include:

• Lena Yeakey ('15) a state finalist in debate.
• Speech team fourth at sectionals and four students (Kaylah Price, Delan Schrock, Rachel Schrock, and Lena Yeakey) qualify for the state competition. See Sightline article.
• At the state competition Lena Yeakey qualified for the seminfinals, finishing 15th in international extemporaneous and 18th in oratory; Rachel Schrock finished 29th in prose interpretation.
• Varsity letter winners were junior Parth Patel (third), junior Rachel Schrock  (second), and sophomores Lena Yeakey (second), Kaylah Price, Colin Samuel, and Delan Schrock.

  Best new speaker was junior Corey Hostetler. Yeakey was awarded high net points leader and lifetime career points leader.
