To all Parents, Caregivers, Students, Teachers, and Staff members of Bethany Christian Schools. The Cafeteria Staff members want to make you aware of certain supply chain issues (due to Covid 19 and driver shortages) that are impacting what we are able to purchase and receive in our cafeteria. These shortages are making it difficult to stick to many of our regular menu items and so students and Staff/Faculty will be noticing last minute changes as well as the absence of many items they are used to seeing on our hot food line as well as our vegetable bar and condiment cart.
Students will still be able to select between a variety of items, including both meat and vegetarian items for their main entrée and Bethany Christian Schools will continue to provide nutritious meals that meet United States Department of Agriculture standards. However, until this issue is resolved, the meals served for lunch may be subject to change pending availability of certain food items. For the current time the lunch menu online will be taken down and the next day menu will be put into the morning announcements. Lunches will continue to be free for the remainder of the year but people should realize changes will need to be made weekly and sometimes daily to accommodate products that aren’t available.
Thank you so much for your child’s participation in our lunch program. We appreciate being able to serve our students good food each day and anticipate doing so throughout the rest of the year.
