Fall Play
The high school play this fall is Gathering Blue, based on the book by Lois Lowry and dramatized by Eric Coble. In this companion story to The Giver, we find a society in which children are treated as commodities, the weak are discarded, false narratives are used to control the people, and artists are manipulated by the powerful. Three gifted children discover the hidden truths and unite to create for a better future.
Shows will be Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22 at 7:30pm, and Sunday, November 23, 3pm with tickets at $10 for adults, $8 for students.
Winter Musical
The Sound of Music, by Rogers and Hammerstein. This globally beloved musical is a story of family and the healing power of music, set against the backdrop of the early days of fascism in Nazi-occupied Austria.
