Technology Director

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Technology Director to lead our school's technology initiatives. The Technology Director is ultimately responsible for the broad maintenance of the functionality, security and accessibility of our Information technology systems. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for integrating technology into the educational experience, and working directly with students. The Technology Director will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the school's information technology vision, ensuring a seamless and effective integration of technology tools and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology plan aligned with the school's educational goals.
- Collaborate with school leadership to define and prioritize technology needs.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of the school's technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, and hardware.
- Ensure a secure and reliable technology environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Support various school information systems for Media Center, Cafeteria, Business Office, etc.
- Educational Technology Integration:
- Work closely with teachers to integrate technology tools into the curriculum, enhancing the learning experience.
- Provide training and support to faculty on the effective use of educational technology.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that align with the school's goals.
- Research and recommend technology investments that enhance educational outcomes.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in educational technology and security.
- User Support:
- Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Foster a culture of technology proficiency and innovation among all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in educational technology leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology plans aligned with educational goals.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in educational technology.
