New athletic complex groundbreaking set for spring 2021

Bethany Christian Schools celebrates the success of its Great Strides Capital Campaign and is excited to announce an anticipated groundbreaking in the spring of 2021.

The new athletic complex will include a track, new soccer fields, increased accessibility for fans and more areas for families and students to gather and support their teammates. The railroad crossing on campus will be made safer, and a bike path on site will be newly extended in collaboration with the City of Goshen.

The campaign was launched publicly in the fall of 2019, and fundraising has surpassed goals ever since, including a challenge grant from the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, thanks to the generosity of donors who matched that amount. You can read more about the grant here. The month of September also featured a match challenge from BCS alumni Myrl Nofziger. Further gifts towards the campaign will enhance the project by adding trees and landscaping, or providing equipment for the new sports activities that will be newly possible on site.

Shared experiences such as athletics support mental and physical health, help students build relationships and increase academic achievement, so improved facilities will benefit Bethany students for years to come.

The new complex will benefit not only current students, but also students in a new third grade class at Bethany. If you’re interested in joining Bethany, set up an Enrollment Consultation with our Enrollment Director at [email protected].
