The 3rd annual Fine Arts Night took place on Saturday evening, March 29th, showcasing the artwork of students in grades Kindergarten through grade 12. With over ten tables of three-dimensional artwork and 57 large panels of two-dimensional artwork, it was a full show!
The high school choir started the night off with a strong performance. They were followed by the high school band, a high school orchestra group, a solo performance by 8th grader Addy Griggs, and then a middle school strings group wrapped up the evening of performances. Throughout the evening, many students led their families and friends around the high school hallways to look at their artwork, then straight to the 300 cookies made by our lower school and middle school students!
Several students in grades 8–12 were given awards for their outstanding work, including 1st place winners Acadia Fleming, Safia Sywulka, Landon Moshier, Malachi Yoder, Maddie Lehman and Dominic Ramer. The Best-in-Show winner was Marta Bergstresser for her detailed clay sculpture. It was a fun and celebratory evening made possible by Bethany’s incredible visual and musical artists!
The high school band played rock and pop standards through the decades, ranging from "Rock around the Clock" to "Viva la Vida." It was particularly fun to see the audience react to each new song, especially when they started dancing along to "YMCA!" We are grateful for the many talented students who contributed to making the night a success!
