Bethany Christian hosted a highly-competitive 12-school debate tournament, with the team taking fifth place overall. Several individuals scored high honors.
Seniors Eviella Sefu and Margo Finnigan finished third and fourth, respectively, in their varsity Congress chambers. Senior Elena Unzicker took fifth in varsity Lincoln Douglas debate, while sophomore Thomas Schlabach nabbed fifth and classmate Eli Schloneger sixth on the novice side.
Schlbach and freshman Kip Skiles earned their first National Forensic League degrees, Merit, for their work on the day. 
Following Fall Break, the team competes next at the LaPorte Debate Tournament.
