Part Time Grade School Spanish Teacher

Bethany Christian Schools seeks inspiring teachers who can help students develop morally grounded thinking and a love for learning. The teacher is responsible for guiding students as they explore the world and discover their own gifts. Successful candidates are interested in ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues, and are committed to building a classroom culture that hears and values all perspectives.

Bethany Christian Schools recognizes the professionalism of its teaching faculty and encourages innovation and experimentation in the classroom. If you are interested in joining a dynamic learning community where your expertise is valued, and where you can teach holistically rather than focusing narrowly on standardized tests, please send a resume and letter of interest to head of school Tim Lehman [email protected]. We will be accepting applications through June 1, 2022 or until the positions are filled.

Cafeteria Aide
Bethany Christian Schools is seeking persons to assist in our cafeteria.  Our school aspires to incorporate food services into the educational program by producing meals with healthy, fresh local foods.  The cafeteria is part of our farm-to-school program in which students engage in hands-on learning through gardening and participate in educational activities related to agriculture, health and nutrition.

No experience is necessary, though candidates that enjoy the school setting and have an interest in from-scratch cooking are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities primarily consist of meal preparation, service, and clean-up.  Hours may vary, but generally are between 4.5 - 5.5 hours per school day. Bethany is an equal opportunity employer. For more information or to apply or direct inquiries to Tara Swartzendruber-Landis at [email protected].

Substitute teachers: Persons interested in substitute teaching must submit an application for substitute teaching (use application above). Questions may be directed to Principal Hank Willems at [email protected] or call 574 534-2567.

Criminal History Background Check: In accordance with Indiana law, Bethany Christian Schools requires an expanded criminal history background check of all applicants for employment. Before your employment with Bethany begins, please schedule an appointment with L-1 online at https://in.ibtfingerprint.com/ or by calling 877 472-6917. L-1 uses fingerprinting to conduct the background search and will charge a fee of approximately $40.
