Fish Fry
In continuing with a long-standing Bethany tradition, the junior class recently came together to host another memorable fish fry that served as a community gathering, a fundraising event for their senior trip, and a meaningful service project. The event, which is entirely run by students, required weeks of preparation, including planning, communication across multiple areas, supply organization, setup, and hours of hands-on work in the kitchen, dining area, and parking. Students demonstrated outstanding teamwork as they took on a variety of roles—fish heads, section heads, cooking, serving, cleaning, coordinating, and many more—to ensure the evening ran smoothly from start to finish.
More than just a fundraiser, the fish fry offered students a valuable opportunity to give back to the community. Many stepped into leadership positions, managing teams, solving last-minute challenges, and guiding their peers through a fast-paced, real-world experience. The dedication and collaboration on display were inspiring.
Through their efforts, students not only raised money for their class’ senior trip, but also strengthened their communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Despite the long hours, the juniors remained committed and enthusiastic, motivated by the chance to serve and make a difference. The fish fry was a testament to their hard work and to the power of teamwork in action.
Thank you to all who attended and supported our students in this special event!
