Back to School

Greetings from Bethany!

We, at Bethany Christian Schools, are excited about the year ahead. The following information will assist you in preparing for the coming school year. As always, Bethany will offer students meaningful experiences that will strengthen and challenge them.

Continue to check this page for updated back-to-school information for the 2025-2026 school year. But here are a few dates to be aware of:

  • Families new to Bethany should plan to attend the New Family Orientation on Thursday, August 7, from 6:30–8pm. Come to learn about Cafeteria, PTO, Music, Athletics, Technology, as well as complete important school forms and follow up about financial questions.
  • The entire Bethany community will gather for Back to School Night on Monday, August 11, from 6:30–8pm. Students in grades K-6 are encouraged to bring school supplies. There you will have an opportunity to hear about some exciting school changes, meet faculty and staff, visit classrooms and reconnect with friends.

Upper School adjustments
To support the inclusion of Advisory and Chapel and allow for minor adjustments to the schedule, the start time for grades 6–12 will shift to 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday through Friday. Monday will continue to begin at 8:45 a.m.

Lower School adjustments
The start time for grades K–5 will remain unchanged: 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday through Friday and 8:45 a.m. on Monday. One change will be implemented for drop off and pick up for safety reasons. All lower school students need to get out and in the vehicles on the passenger (right) side.

Wireless Policy
We have spent considerable time reflecting on and revising our cell phone policy to better support a focused and respectful learning environment. We recognize that this change will require an adjustment for everyone—students, families, and faculty/staff.

The use of wireless communication devices including cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, wireless headphones and gaming devices are restricted unless a teacher explicitly authorizes their use for educational purposes.

We kindly ask that you take time to read through the updated policy and partner with us in helping your child understand and follow these expectations. Your support is vital as we work together to create a school culture that prioritizes connection, learning, and well-being.

Schedules
Schedules for high school students will be emailed to their Bethany email addresses. If you have questions or want to make changes, contact school counselor Krysten Parson (KP), or call the office for an appointment. Middle School students will receive their schedules on the first day of classes.

Please be in touch as needed. Continue to rest, be safe, and healthy over summer break. See you for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 13, between 7:45 and 8:30am!
